Today's topic is calculating invariant solutions of plane Couette flow. The lecture will cover

• findorbit: a channelflow utility for computing equilibria, traveling waves, and periodic orbits.

• Symmetries of plane Couette flow. Symmetries determine the type of solution (e.g. equilibrium vs traveling wave) and help us choose initial guesses.
