- | ~~DISCUSSION~~ | ||
- | I am studying the laminar-turbulence transition in supercritical flow, with aminar initial conditions in a couette cell at Re 350-400. Due to a small pertubation in the flow field (source term in velocity e.g.) the flow becomes turbulent and stays turbulent. I am using a second order FVM scheme at present, but i found channel flow interesting because of the periodic boundary conditions in flow direction, and also to compare the results. My question would be how/where to incooperate a
- | (space-time dependant) source term in the channel flow solver, and how difficult the changes would be.
